In New York it was only -11 degrees Celsius at our stopover this morning at 7:20 (01.02.). Winter is really severe in North America at the moment ( Chicago -40 degrees Celsius). We flew on to Latin America. And in Cartgena we were greeted by a cozy 33 degrees Celsius at 13:10. We are now minus 6 hours at German time on the road. We took a cab to our accommodation in Cabrero. You can enter the address on a screen in the airport and get a printout with a fixed price (8 km 11,000 COP, about 2.80 EUR) for the cab driver. We stay in the sweet apartment of Martha and Lukas with the cats Thomasina and Pepita. It is about 5 minutes walk from the beautiful colorful old town.
After a friendly hello, we went exploring. We got a phone SIM card, picked up a few pesos, dropped off our laundry at the Laundry Service and bought something for dinner.
