Boracay – White Beach

Another quiet and sunny day on Boracay. We walked along the beach to the other end, about 3 km. Past Station 1 and the "Grotto", a statue of the Madonna on a rock formation.

We were told that the beach was even whiter there than in our area at station 3. But we couldn't see any difference. By the way, station means pier for the boats.

In the Heidiland deli shop we bought a piece of Gouda for breakfast. Cheese is virtually non-present here. At Coco Mama there was an ice cream fresh from the coconut shell.

Boracay – Diving Certificate – Beach

After a dive at a depth of 18 m, Reiner had to take a written exam in English for his diving certificate. He has passed and is now officially PADI- Open Water Diver! Today, for the first time, the GoPro was allowed for diving. I went back on the boat.

The boat dropped off a second group of divers and collected it again. The diving school owners have dived to an aircraft wreckage at a depth of 30 m. I only went swimming on the beach because the water was also a little more crawling.

In the evening we made ourselves comfortable and played on the terrace Carcassonne. We are a bit out of practice and lost against the prince and juggler.

Boracay – White Beach

Again, a wonderful beach day with lots of sun and 29 degrees is behind us. In the morning we had breakfast on our terrace. At noon Reiner went to the diving school and has his 3rd dive completed.

In the afternoon we were swimming in the sea for a long time. In the evening we were eating at Nonie's. A very nice small restaurant in the hotel resort Station X Hue Hotel. There was fresh salad with fried tofu and black rice with nuts, beans, coconut and chocolate!

Boracay – Relaxday

Today we let it go a little quieter. A bit of beach and some lessons theory for the diving certificate learned.

In the evening, in a Thai restaurant, we had a funny conversation with a Japanese couple. A nice conclusion on St. Nicholas' Day!

Boracay – second dive

It has rained in between times today. At the temperatures (air 29/sea 28 degrees) this evaporates quickly and is rather refreshing. Reiner had a diving course from noon.

This time we went to the other side of the bay. In the photo you can also see a typical Asian diving group. That's a few more students per teacher and they don't dive that deep!

Before the dive Reiner had to swim free for 10 minutes. I've done him a part. Shortly before sunset we returned to station 3. Tonight we were too tired to go out for dinner and there was a noodle soup!

Boracay – Bolabog Beach

Since my skin got a bit of sun yesterday, we were not on the beach today for a swim. Instead, we looked at the other side of the coast. You can walk across the island within a few minutes. Boracay is shaped like a bone. The wind at Bolabog Beach is a bit rougher and many kite surfers romp around in the water. Overall, there is much less operation there, which is actually quite nice. However, the sand is darker. Seaweed and also some rubbish are washed up. The boards have quite a bit of speed on it. You can go swimming better at White Beach, on "our" side.

After we increased our cash, Reiner signed up for a multi-day diving course. "Open water diver". He got a thick textbook and start is tomorrow. We then walked long on the beach during the sunset and ate a pizza at Yellow Cab. Now Reiner is learning for his diving license.

Boracay – Diving course in the coral reef

Today Reiner has done a Discover Scuba Diving – diving ground course. This went on for a good 3 hours. He was with his german/Philippine diving instructor Günther (but everyone calls him Jimmy) after the theory lessons first on the beach in shallow water.

Then we went out by boat and they dived to a depth of 12 m. I decided to follow the diving course from the boat. Was also very nice, because I was allowed to ride along and we had the huge boat with captain all for us. Submerged in reverse from the boat, the two had disappeared for 35 minutes on dive.

Reiner has seen many colorful fish, corals and a great underwater world. He enjoyed it a lot. In the late afternoon we ate fresh mango and pineapple on the beach and watched many sailing catamarans moor there and take excursionists on a trip into the sunset.

In the evening we were in a German restaurant directly at the Beach Essen. For me there was salad and for Reiner Züricher Geschnetzltes with Rösti.

Boracay – White Beach

As the first action, we rescued a gecko from our shower to freedom this morning. The quieken, by the way, quite loud. And then after breakfast we went to White Beach on our terrace. We had a lot of fun with the air mattress.

Clear water, clean beach, great weather!

In the evening there was pizza again and Smirnoff Mule (no mulled wine!).
